About Clewer and Dedworth Together CIC

Clewer and Dedworth Together CIC was founded in October 2021, starting as a simple idea over coffee to brighten our community with Christmas lights. That vision quickly grew into a dynamic fundraising and community-building initiative!

In November 2021, we hosted our first annual Christmas Fair, which was an incredible success, followed by an equally popular Easter Fair in April 2022. These events brought together over 6,000 residents, showcasing the amazing spirit and support of our local community.

We are proud to have successfully hosted Rock the Rec, our summer festival, for since 2022. This vibrant event provides a platform for talented local acts to shine while bringing the community together in celebration. Thanks to the generous support of local sponsors, we are able to keep ticket prices affordable, ensuring everyone has the opportunity to join in the fun.

Our Mission

Clewer and Dedworth Together CIC is dedicated to enhancing community connections and improving the lives of local residents. Profits from our events have funded projects such as:

  • Installing Christmas lights along Dedworth Road in 2022 and 2023.
  • Sponsoring families to attend Rock the Rec and visit Santa at our Christmas Fair.
  • Setting up the Internet Café at Woody’s, which is free for all to use.

Looking ahead, we aim to support even more initiatives that benefit our community and strengthen our shared connections.

Making Events Accessible to All

We believe that no one should miss out on the joy of community events due to financial barriers. That’s why we offer free tickets to low-income families, working with local schools, housing associations, and clubs to ensure accessibility for everyone.

Empowering Volunteers

Our events provide valuable opportunities for volunteers of all ages and abilities:

  • Skills Development: Volunteers, including autistic adults, work alongside stall owners, interact with the public, and develop vital social and professional skills.
  • Community Pride: By helping keep our events clean and welcoming, volunteers take pride in their contribution, fostering a sense of belonging.
  • Youth Involvement: Initiatives like our Get Connected project empower young people to help older residents gain confidence in using technology, creating intergenerational connections and strengthening community bonds.

Inclusive and Diverse

Our volunteers range from teenagers to octogenarians, making Clewer and Dedworth Together CIC a truly inclusive organisation. Together, we aim to show that Clewer and Dedworth are thriving, vibrant parts of Windsor, full of heart and positivity.

Whether you’re attending an event, volunteering, or supporting a project, Clewer and Dedworth Together CIC is about coming together to create something special for our community.

Thank you for being part of our journey!

Lee Hibbard – Chair

Lee is a true pillar of the Clewer and Dedworth community, known far and wide for her tireless dedication and remarkable organisational skills. As the heart and soul behind Woody’s Café in the Pirate Park, she has created a welcoming hub for locals to connect, relax, and enjoy.

Lee’s passion for bringing people together extends far beyond the café. Her exceptional ability to plan and coordinate makes her an invaluable asset to the Clewer and Dedworth Together committee. Often described as the glue that holds everything together, Lee’s energy, enthusiasm, and unwavering commitment inspire everyone around her. She truly embodies the spirit of community.

Amy Tisi – Treasurer

Amy Tisi is a passionate advocate for the Clewer and Dedworth community, serving as a local Councillor for Clewer East while juggling her role as Secretary for Clewer and Dedworth Together. A long-time resident, she lives with her husband and children in Clewer, where she cherishes the sense of community.

Amy’s love for bringing people together inspired her to co-found the Baby Bank in 2015, and she continues to channel that energy into creating opportunities for Clewer and Dedworth to shine. A teacher by profession, Amy expertly manages the committee’s paperwork and is our Treasurer. During events, she’s a powerhouse of action—often spotted in a hi-vis vest, making sure everything runs seamlessly.

An enthusiast of choral singing and a lockdown gardening convert, Amy believes that if you want something done, you do it yourself. Her dedication to organising events and ensuring Clewer and Dedworth get their share of memorable activities is a testament to her determination and community spirit.

Alison Carpenter – Secretary

Alison wears many hats in the Clewer and Dedworth community. A long-time Windsor resident of 12 years, she’s a local councillor, website builder, and dedicated advocate for bringing people together. By day, she works for a corporate travel company, but her passion truly shines through in her role as Secretary and organiser for Clewer and Dedworth Together.

Known for her exceptional organisational skills, Alison has been instrumental in coordinating community events that create lasting memories. She lives in Windsor with her partner John and their lively cockapoo, Saxon, and is loving every moment of contributing to the vibrancy of her local area.

Gavin Ingels – Stage Manager and Band Co-ordinator

Gavin recently joined the Clewer and Dedworth Together team, bringing his expertise in event coordination and a passion for live performances. As our Stage Manager, Gavin works closely with the bands to ensure everything runs smoothly and on schedule. With a keen eye for detail and a collaborative spirit, he plays a vital role in delivering unforgettable events for our community.
